Andrea Bocelli Foundation

Berni Contract acted as Interior General Contractor for the aesthetic and functional renovation of the Andrea Bocelli Foundation headquarters, located within the monumental Complesso di San Firenze, in the square of the same name, in the heart of the city between Piazza della Signoria and the Bargello.

The project responds to the need to transform architecturally significant spaces into functional, contemporary environments able to house the Foundation’s executive offices, meeting rooms, and workshops dedicated to its educational and musical programs, while preserving intact the historic character of the building, one of the very few examples of Baroque architecture in Florence.

The interior design was curated by leading names in contemporary architecture, namely Studio Archea (first phase) and Studio Alvisi Kirimoto (second phase).

The client entrusted Berni Contract with the realization of all custom furnishing solutions.

The spaces alternate bright, orderly work areas, corridors punctuated by sculptural ceilings, and meeting rooms overlooking the palazzo’s original windows, striking a balance between institutional rigor and welcoming warmth that reflects the Foundation’s values. The result is a space that, through its furnishings and details, tells the story of the Andrea Bocelli Foundation’s mission: giving voice to talent and education, in an environment worthy of its history.
