From White to blue
Portfolio
Nestled in the heights of Calvi, Hotel Maria Die dominates the landscape with a view that embraces the deep blue of the sea, the snow-capped peaks of the Corsican hinterland, and the historic citadel that watches over the city.
In this setting of rare beauty, Berni Contract has carried out a project that enhances the hotel’s essence — merging the spirit of the place with a concept of hospitality that is intimate, exclusive, and deeply connected to nature.
The bespoke furnishings designed for each space express a discreet and contemporary elegance, inspired by the contrasts of Corsica itself: rock and wind, light and silence.
At the heart of the project lies the Panoramic Suite, an open, scenographic space that extends onto a wide terrace where the boundary between indoors and outdoors fades away. Here, natural materials and neutral tones meet clean lines and artisanal details, creating a suspended and soothing atmosphere where every element invites contemplation.
The Junior Suite, with its direct view of the Calvi citadel, offers a cozy and evocative retreat — a harmonious balance between comfort and landscape, between the solidity of ancient walls and the lightness of modern design.
The common areas — from the entrance and reception to the bright dining room and the fully equipped outdoor pool area — have also been redesigned to foster a warm, refined welcome perfectly attuned to the natural surroundings.
The project by Berni Contract for Hotel Maria Die stands as a fine example of how interior design can engage in deep dialogue with its territory: every stylistic choice serves the guest experience, and every space invites one to be enveloped by the sea breeze, the golden light of sunset, and the powerful silence of the mountains.
A place to experience Calvi from a privileged perspective, enjoying the comfort of tailor-made hospitality and the ever-present, authentic soul of Corsica.
